For this assignment I went to the indoor track meet for states. I had a lot of fun shooting the best kids in the state and I thought it was a great opportunity. My favorite picture ended up being an experiment.
For this assignment I chose to do open. I had seen pictures on other photography websites and it inspired me. I tried to capture the moment of the orange hitting the water. Among a few of my favorites were the one where it is just about to hit the water and the one where the water is about to hit Tyler. The best shot really stood out to me and I really enjoyed shooting this. All together it took me about 4 hours from start to finish, but it was very fun. The difficulty was very high and it took me a long time to figure out how to shoot continuously but in macro. Also it was challenging to figure out the correct ISO, aperture and shutter speed. Enjoy!
This past weekend I went down to Toledo with Tyler and my parents. It was my Aunt Karen's birthday. We always go to a Mexican restaurant called Loma Linda's. We went there for her birthday dinner and at the restaurant they bring you out a sombrero and ice cream and everyone sings to you. I took advantage of this and took pictures while we all sang. The following day we went to Oak Openings metro park where I took more pictures of where we were. There was also hockey players playing pond hockey. At oak openings they have sand dunes and they are known as the only sand dunes that aren't by water.
For this weeks gimp assignment we learned how to make a panoramic picture without using the camera setting on our camera. I really disliked this assignment because it was super frustrating but I got it done.
For this assignment I shot pictures of Drago, the bearded dragon. it was really fun to take pictures of him and he is quite the model. The assignment was to shoot animals so I went to Tyler's house where i took pictures of Drago, Shadow his cat and Bailey his dog.
For this assignment I did a nature shoot. Earlier this trimester I took a trip to Florida to visit my Grandpa. While there me and my Dad went to Cape Canaveral and took pictures. On the beach we saw fisherman and a lot of birds would keep flying over head of us. One fisherman in particular that i had been watching really caught my eye. In one of my photos I set him up in a compositional way with the birds in a line and what not.

For this gimp assignment we used new editing and lighting techniques. In the picture in the left I practiced using window lighting with a piece of poster board. In the picture on the right I used the studio lighting that Mr. Bush set-up for us called the sandwich technique.
For the 3rd photo assignment I chose to do portrait. I shot pictures of my friend, Kelsey. We played around with lighting and make-up. ISO:141 Aperture: 2.8 Shutter Speed:1/4 second

For this assignment we were supposed to take pictures in our school and edit in fun exciting things. I chose to shoot my friend, Jessi, running away from the dinosaur in our gym.
Hey guys! So this week I chose to do light painting, a fun easy way to make pictures look exciting and different. I had a lot of fun playing around with different light sources. When light painting what you do is you set your camera to a high shutter speed and set your camera up on a tripod, so there is no movement. The kinds of light I used were an LED small flashlight on something that would make it spin. I also used a tangle of Christmas lights. I really enjoyed doing this project and I thought it was the most interesting to learn about.
In this assignment I learned about the macro setting. I love using this setting because I like being able to see the fine detail. i am now addicted to macro. I used to have no idea what macro was, but then my mom showed me all about it. For this assignment I went out to different parks and field to get my shots. I found interesting things like hardened sap and milkweed pods. This is by far my favorite assignment to have done and I cant wait for the pictures to come.
For our most recent assignment we learned how to use an application called Gimp. we learned different ways to edit and use different tools. by following in the path of Andy Warhol and recreating his famous picture. This assignment was a little tricky because it was so many steps. I like the simple easy way of editing. I enjoy photoshop.com more than Gimp.
